To everything there is a season

To everything there is a season
(there is a time for everything)
A time for every purpose under the sun
(everything I go through is for a purpose)
a time to be born and a time to die
(I am here for a limited time)
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted
(I have to plant in order to have something to pluck up)
a time to kill and a time to heal
(I need discernment from God)
a time to weep and a time to dance
(I am not always going to be happy)
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing
(embrace: to accept readily, don't believe everything I hear)
a time to lose and a time to seek
(things won't always come easily)
a time to rend and a time to sew
(my work will pay off)
a time to keep silent and a time to speak
(I have to absorb wisdom before I can give wisdom)
a time to love and a time to hate
(hate?)
a time for war and a time for peace
(it won't always be easy, but after the storm is the rainbow)
Lately I have always been looking to the future instead of seeing what is happening in the present. I have realized that if I always look to the future I will never experience anything because I will never catch up with the future. God has made a time for everything, and I need to learn how to praise God and live life to the fullest no matter which season of my life I am in, and sooner or later, I will have experienced everything God had planned for me to experience. I love you Lord. Help me to experience every moment that you made for me.

God is So Good

Don't you just love the summer showers. I am sitting here in my living room just enjoying God's wonderful creations. As incrediable it is on a nice sunny day of 75 degree weather, it's just as incrediable during a storm, and you wonder how God created the lightning, and thunder, and how rain just falls from the sky. God is so good. He is so faithful to those who seek Him. Zach's dad got a pet scan and the results showed no other cancer masses in his body. This means that technically he does still have cancer, but they can not find the source, so we are praying that it does not come back. Praise God. God puts us through tests and trials only to benefit Him and His kingdom, and what is not of God, He uses for His glory anyway. We just have to constantly remember to continually praise God no matter what the circumstance is. I love the quote that says:
"In happy moments, praise God. In quiet moments, worship God. In painful moments, trust God. In difficult moments, seek God. In every moment, thank God."

We Need Your Prayers

Within this past week, Amanda and I found out that my dad, Richard Wood, had been diagnosed with melanoma, cancer. My family is in a little bit of shock because he is a God-fearing man and he takes very good care of his body, but we know that God can, and is, making good out of this difficult situation. My family is having to rely entirely on God for our hope because apparently there is little that can be done to treat this cancer that has been diagnosed. We are all praying passionately for him, because through Christ is how he can be healed. Please pray for him and our family during this hard time.
